Milwaukee is applauding a decline in overdose deaths.
City leaders marked International Overdose Awareness Day yesterday by highlighting a fourth-straight year of decline in overdose deaths across Milwaukee County.
Mayor Cavalier Johnson told CBS58 that the downward trend is “encouraging” and reflects the hard work of organizations around Brew City to make a difference.
However, he also mentioned there’s still more work to be done on the issue.
