Three Manitowoc County Fire Departments are getting grant money from Wisconsin Public Service.
The WPS Foundation is providing $75,000 through its Rewarding Responders Grant to help first responders receive lifesaving equipment or training.
Manitowoc Fire Rescue is receiving funding for pedestrian safety signs, while the Mishicot Fire Department will use the funding for a new fire hose.
The Cleveland Fire Department will purchase a new heavy-duty rescue saw, while the Cleveland Police Department will receive a new AED.
In Calumet County, the Chilton Fire Department will get a rescue chainsaw with WPS grant funding.
Additionally, in Brown County, the Denmark Volunteer Fire Department will use the grant funding for illuminated traffic safety signs.
Agencies can apply for up to $2,000 in WPS grant funding.
Since its inception, the WPS Foundation has helped nearly 240 individual agencies.
