Wisconsin’s Public Service Commission will be accepting public input as it looks at changing utility rates.
There will be two hearings about WE Energies rate changes at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay on Tuesday, September 29th at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
During the rate case process, PSC staff audits a utility’s financial records, examines the utility’s forecast, and evaluates rate proposals to ensure the changes are based on the actual costs of producing and delivering heat and electricity.
At the end of the rate review process, the PSC will make numerous changes to a utility’s proposal after reviewing the evidence in the record.
Residents who don’t want to attend the hearings in person can watch them on Zoom or submit comments online or by mail.
But the comment period ends on October 5th. More information about the hearings is available online at psc.wi.gov.
