An organization with a presence in Sheboygan and Manitowoc Counties will be fundraising this weekend to help local children.
Family Connections will be holding a meat raffle tomorrow (August 29th) from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Sharpie’s on Broadway, located at 645 South 12th Street in Sheboygan.
The meat raffle is being held to raise money for Family Connections’ Rainbow Kids program, which aims to provide peer support to children and adults who are grieving after the loss of a family member during a number of difficult life events, including death, divorce, separation, incarceration, abandonment, or deployment.
All proceeds raised during the meat raffle will help those grieving build a stronger sense of self-esteem and direct them toward a healthy resolution of the changes that have taken place in their personal lives.
During the event, walking tacos will also be available for purchase.
