Local groups in Sheboygan County will be looking to ensure that area children’s development is on track.
The United Way of Sheboygan County, in partnership with the Sheboygan County Community Partnership for Children, will be hosting free developmental screenings for children on October 8th and 9th.
The screenings will be held at Generations, located at 1500 Douglas Drive in Plymouth, and will be open to children ages 6 months to 4 years old.
Each child’s development will be assessed in the areas of language, problem-solving, fine and large motor skills, personal-social skills, and hearing and vision.
Benefits of having a child screened include recognizing their developmental achievements as well as getting an early detection of any potential developmental delays.
Screenings on October 8th will be done between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., while on the 9th, they will be held between 8:00 a.m. and noon.
Those looking to register a child for a screening can sign up by visiting familyresourcesheboygan.org.
