It was a busy day in Two Rivers as sixteen cross-country teams from around the state converged at Two Rivers High School.
Notre Dame led the way for the boys, followed by West De Pere and Manitowoc Lutheran, while Manitowoc Lincoln was 4th, Valders was 8th, Mishicot finished 9th, and the host Raiders were 10th.
Notre Dame’s Eli Weiss was named the meet champion, outpacing Manitowoc Lincoln’s Reid Stryzewski by ten seconds.
The Lancers’ top finisher was Philip Melso in 6th, Kolton Schisel of Valders finished 18th overall, Mishicot’s Greyson Armbruster finished 30th, and Evan Radandt of Two Rivers was 36th.
As for the girls, Manitowoc Lincoln was one point behind Notre Dame as a team, Two Rivers was 4th, Valders finished 5th, Manitowoc Lutheran was 7th, and Mishicot placed 9th.
The Ships also boasted the top two runners, with Natalie Portmann beating teammate Norah Free to the finish line by just 5 seconds.
Two Rivers’ top finisher was Andi Gallagher, who came in 5th, while Paige Backus of Valders was 12th, Juliana Doerner of Mishicot was 17th, and Manitowoc Lutheran’s Temperance Farmer was 24th.
