
The Manitowoc County Fair is finally here.
Today is opening day, which comes with a plethora of exciting events sponsored by WOMT 100.
The General Admission Gates open every day at 8:00 a.m., which is also when the Swine Judging and Market & Showmanship inside the Multi-Purpose Building, followed by Market Goats at 11:15, Junior Fair Sheep, Sheep Showmanship, breed, market, wool, and fleece at 12:30, and Junior Fair Beef Cattle and Beef Showmanship Judging at 3:30.
Sensory Day will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., and the Dive Team will be in the Merchants Building from 3:00 to 5:00.
Clipper City Railroad will be open from 3:00 to 7:00, and the Special Olympics 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk will be at 6:00.
Then, the live music starts.
From 7:00 to 10:30, Southbound “Country Classic Rock” will play on the Variety Pavilion, while Nitro Five will play on the Rock Pavilion, and DJ Musica Bonita will play on the Hispanic Pavilion.
Finally, the parade and fireworks show will start at 8:30.
General Admission tickets are $15 a day, and these include all rides and access to events listed.
There is also a $40 season pass and a $7 veteran and senior pass, neither of which includes access to rides.
New this year is the County Fair App, which can be downloaded on any cellular device.
