Broken Sewer Line Causes Sewage Backup In Milwaukee Homes

The Milwaukee Department of Public Works says a construction contractor is responsible for breaking a sewer line last week and flooding several homes.  Gabe’s Construction was working on the city’s southwest side as a contractor for the American Transmission Company.  When the sewer line broke a pump failed and sewage backed up.  Residents started reporting the problem Sunday.  The city is working with the contractor to make repairs, but the contractor is going to be held liable for the damages.
