Tight muscles in his back have sidelined Milwaukee Brewer slugger Ryan Braun. He has been placed on the 10-day disabled list retroactive to Monday by his team. The Brewers will make a roster move before the three-game interleague series at Minnesota which starts tonight (Friday). The team wants to make sure it has another healthy hitter available after Braun missed the entire Arizona Diamondback series — and because the designated hitter will be in use against the Twins. Outfielder Brett Phillips or first baseman Ji-Man Choi could be called up. Phillips was just sent down a week ago, but he wouldn’t have to wait the full 10 days because of Braun’s injury.
