Local health groups in Sheboygan County will be assessing residents’ fall risk in the coming week.
The Aging & Disability Resource Center of Sheboygan County (ADRC) and the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health will be hosting four fall risk screenings, with the first taking place on Monday (August 24th) from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
These screenings are free, confidential, and open to anyone 60 years or older. Subsequent fall risk screenings will be held on Wednesday (August 26th), August 31st, and September 11th.
The first two dates will be held at the Pigeon River Recreation Center located at 3508 North 21st Street in Sheboygan, while the last two will take place at the ARDC at 605 Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls.
On the screenings, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health noted, “Falling does not have to be a part of aging. Learn about your fall risk and ways to prevent falls in people of all ages.”
Those with questions are encouraged to call the ADRC at 920-467-4100.
