The local home sale numbers are relatively unchanged this month.
The Wisconsin Realtors Association has released its July Home Sales Report, which notes that the median price for a home in Manitowoc was $260,000 last month, which is $2,500 less than in June.
That is, however, $30,000 higher than last July and July of 2024.
The 93 homes sold last month were only slightly fewer than the 100 sold the previous month and 8 fewer than the previous year.
For comparison, the median price of the 140 homes sold in Sheboygan County last month was $315,000, while the 7,512 homes sold throughout the state had a median price of $360,000.
Amy Curler, the Chair of the WRA Board of Directors, noted that, throughout the state, “We’ve seen a solid housing market this summer as statewide home sales are up nearly 8% compared to June 2025 and July 2025. This is the strongest first two months of peak summer sales since 2022 when mortgage rates began increasing.”
