A Fond du Lac man was arrested on his 5th OWI by the Wisconsin State Patrol.
A trooper pulled over 71-year-old Phillip Peter Capone on S. Macy Street and Court Street just before 2:40 a.m. this morning because his vehicle registration showed he had a suspended driver’s license.
During the stop, the trooper noticed Capone was showing signs of impairment.
After a field sobriety test, the 71-year-old was arrested and charged with OWI, a 5th offense.
He was also ticketed for possession of open intoxicants in a motor vehicle while suspended.
A legal blood draw was done at a local hospital before Capone was booked into the Fond du Lac County Jail.
