The Manitowoc County Fair is right around the corner, and this year’s fair is set to be better than ever.
Expo Facility Manager Jennell Shelton and her team is working hard in these last few weeks to get the fair ready for the public.
Elizabeth Dvorak, the 2026 Manitowoc County Fairest of the Fair, is also spending the end of her summer wrapped up in fair preparation.
On top of getting the expo grounds ready, Dvorak admitted she is “starting to work on all my fair projects right now, so getting those ready for the fair as well.”
Our county fair is changing and evolving every year. This year, a huge change they have made is that they now accept credit cards.
Despite this, there will be a $1 upcharge for anyone who uses their card to purchase an admission ticket.
Another amazing update they have is the fair app.
This app, which is downloadable on any phone, will tell attendees anything they need to know about the fair.
“It will have your schedule of all the judging, of anything that’s going on in the exhibition building, which bands (are performing),” Shelton noted. “Whatever you are looking for, it will be on this app.”
The app is simply called “Manitowoc County Fair” on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
This year’s fair runs August 26th through August 30th, and each day will have a special event.
Every year adds more events to the agenda, and this is made possible because every dollar made during fair week is put back into the grounds to be used at the next year’s fair.
“We’re always improving,” Shelton noted. “We’re always looking at new things and new ideas.”
Daily admission is $15, and this ticket includes access to all rides.
There is also a $40 season pass, but this and the $7 veteran and senior citizen passes do not include ride access.
