Calumet County’s Land and Water Conservation Department is asking agricultural landowners to help protect water quality and improve soil health.
Residents would work with the Rooted & Resilient Program through the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance.
The county department says participants could qualify for financial incentives to implement programs such as Water and Sediment Control Basin, Grassed or Lined Waterway, Wetland Restoration, and more.
The watershed alliance says those interested must be a legal property owner in Calumet County, must be registered with USDA-FSA, and must live within the basin around Lake Winnebago.
Questions can be directed to Agricultural Coordinator Tim Burns with the Fox-Wolf Watershed Alliance at 920-858-3982 or by emailing tim@fwwa.org.
