The Shoreland League Championship Series is headed to a winner-take-all Game 3.
With their backs against the wall, the Casco A’s edged out the Denmark Devilbears 5-4 in front of a home crowd.
The A’s jumped out to an early lead thanks to a solo homer from Patrick Daniels, and tacked on a pair in the 3rd, but the Bears clawed their way back and took a 4-3 lead in the 7th inning.
But Owen Deprez once again played the hero and tied it all up in the 8th, and Mitch Jandrin drove home the eventual game-winning run.
Colin Lacey put on a great performance on the mound, striking out 10 batters over his six and two-thirds innings, while Noah Lindsley came on to slam the door shut.
The champions will be crowned tonight, as the A’s and Devilbears are back at Village Park in Casco for the series finale.
First pitch is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
