The City of Sheboygan is once again adjusting real estate assessment values.
The City has notified property owners that 16,441 Notice of Changed Assessment letters have been sent to all property owners to reflect their new real estate assessment values for 2026.
This marks the fifth consecutive year properties have been reassessed in Sheboygan as part of an initiative to get properties in the City in compliance with the Department of Revenue.
As notices have been mailed out, the City will be holding Open Book Meetings from Monday (August 24th) through Friday (August 27th) to “give all property owners a chance to compare their information with similar properties, or to discuss any concerns.”
Then, on October 13th, the Board of Review meeting will take place at City Hall, allowing any resident who objects to their new property assessment value the chance to dispute their case.
Anyone who wishes to do so must contact the City Clerk, Meredith Debruin, to obtain a form to speak at the Board of Review meeting.
