The girls’ tennis season is officially underway, and the Roncalli/Manitowoc Lutheran co-op started on the right foot.
The squad was in Fond du Lac for a tournament yesterday, where they swept New London and Menasha 7-0.
In fact, Roncalli/Manitowoc Lutheran didn’t drop a single set all day.
Megan Lamers continued her dominant career by only dropping four games in #1 singles, while Sophie Matczynski, Lily Giesen, and Kinsley Hager fared very well in the other singles bouts.
The #1 and #2 double tandems of Lucy Leist and Nevaeh Son, and Amelia Suchomel and Addison Hager also dominated their competition, only dropping five games between them, but Reagan Lundy and Elizabeth Lohr had much closer matches in both sets.
They knocked off the #3 New London tandem 6-4, 6-4, and the Menasha duo 7-5, 6-0.
The Roncalli/Manitowoc Lutheran girls tennis team will be back in action today as they travel to Catholic Memorial High School.
