The body found in Lake Michigan over the weekend is being identified.
James Mueller was found near Bay View Park on Saturday morning by a passerby using the Oak Leaf Trail.
First responders tried to save the 68-year-old’s life, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities initially asked the public for help identifying Mueller when other identification methods didn’t work.
Investigators are still looking for details on what led up to his death.
