
Upcoming work by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation will affect traffic in Sheboygan County this week.
The DOT is alerting motorists that three separate maintenance projects will cause closures on stretches of Interstate 43 and State Highway 23 this week, each beginning today (August 17th).
Pavement repairs will be conducted in the northbound and southbound lanes of I-43 between the Pigeon River and State Highway 28, and between County Road V and 28.
Closures will be in place between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. along both stretches, and work is expected to be completed by Thursday (August 20th).
Meanwhile, similar work will be conducted on 23 between Taylor Drive and County Road Y from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
If finished on time, crews are expected to be done with the project at 6:00 a.m. on Friday (August 21st).
Throughout the duration of all three projects, various lane closures will be implemented, and drivers are asked to plan ahead.
