
Local livestock demonstrators are receiving some grant money after another successful Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction.
Over $405,000 was raised to support Wisconsin State Fair junior livestock exhibitors.
Andrew Reich of Mishicot was part of the new Youth Impact Grant Program, which helps reduce financial barriers for youth participating in Wisconsin State Fair Junior Livestock shows.
The Swine shower was one of twelve youth who are part of the program. Some area livestock exhibitors also earned money through scholarships and auction sales.
Alison Gartman of Sheboygan received $2,000 through the 2026 Governor’s Blue Ribbon Livestock Auction Scholarship.
A champion swine exhibited by Makayla Staudinger of Hilbert earned her $8,000 thanks to the WEC Energy Foundation.
