Registration for an annual event aiming to raise money for hungry families in Sheboygan County is quickly approaching.
Rotary Making Spirits Bright and the Sheboygan County Food Bank have announced that registration for the 9th annual Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk will open on Monday, August 24th.
The event itself will take place at Evergreen Park in Sheboygan on November 21st, with the 5K run starting at 4:00 p.m., while one-mile walks will be held at 5:00 p.m., 5:30 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.
Each year, this event allows participants the unique chance to experience the Making Spirits Bright light show on foot while supporting hunger-relief efforts in the county.
Last year’s Holiday Lights Hunger Run/Walk broke records, with 2,788 individuals on hand, the most in the event’s history.
Proceeds raised through the run/walk will directly benefit the Food Bank in its mission to feed our neighbors facing food scarcity.
