The Interstate 94 project in Milwaukee may not be finished until 2035.
That’s according to a new report from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, which noted the relocation of utilities could cause the project to be delayed by two years.
The Journal Sentinel reports there’s also a new cost estimate for the project that climbs above $1.7 billion, a nearly four percent increase from February’s estimate.
DOT officials noted the delay is not certain and several factors play into the project timeline.
