Ralph Charles Hagenow, 83, of Francis Creek passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at his home.
Ralph was born and raised on the family farm just west of Fisherville. He graduated from Mishicot High School in 1961. In July of 1963, he married Kay Lynn Zigmunt. Over the years, Ralph worked for Hamilton, the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and retired from F. Radandt and Sons after 42 years of service. Ralph belonged to the Teamsters and Operating Engineers. He and Kay raised their family in Francis Creek, and after retirement he became a logger making wood for his sons. Ralph enjoyed helping his family, playing sheepshead at the Senior Center and taking care of his yard.
Ralph is survived by his children: Amy Hagenow, Mike and Kelli Hagenow, Keith and Lori Hagenow, Tim and Tammy Hagenow, and Gina and Bill Kuckkahn; 11 grandchildren; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Chris and Lynn Zigmunt, Dennis and Marcia Zigmunt, Bonnie Zigmunt, and Ted and Lynn Zigmunt. Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Kay Lynn; parents: Alvin and Clara Hagenow; his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Melvin and Florence Zigmunt; brothers-in-law: Pat and Mark Zigmunt; and a faithful four-legged companion, Liebe.
A life celebration to honor Ralph’s life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Linebacker, Green Room, 527 N. 10th Street, Manitowoc. Ralph will be laid to rest at St. Anne’s Cemetery in Francis Creek.
