Appleton Police are once again warning of the dangers of impaired driving.
Over this past weekend, the Appleton Police Department reports that they arrested three people for OWI, including one individual who was caught on surveillance video leaving the roadway right in front of an officer.
The Department noted, “Impaired driving is indefensible and completely preventable. Before you get behind the wheel, make a plan to get home safely. Choose a designated driver, use a rideshare, call a taxi, or ask a sober friend or family member for a ride.”
They went on to remind drivers that driving impaired is not only dangerous for the person behind the wheel, but also for the other people on the roadway and pedestrians.
They closed by saying, “Everyone deserves to make it home safely, including the people sharing the road with you.”
