A police pursuit ended with one person in custody in Fond du Lac County.
WBAY reports that at approximately 4:00 a.m. yesterday (August 9th), a member of the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office observed a vehicle speeding.
The deputy continued to observe the driver weave between lanes and go off the road on numerous occasions.
The deputy attempted to make a traffic stop on Interstate 41, and the driver stopped briefly before speeding away and leaving the highway at Winnebago Street, heading towards North Fond du Lac.
Eventually, a PIT maneuver was used, and the vehicle came to a stop.
The driver of the vehicle, a 33-year-old North Fond du Lac man, was arrested and transported to the Winnebago County Jail on charges of felony fleeing or eluding, suspicion of Operating While Intoxicated, and multiple traffic citations.
Assisting agencies during the three-mile pursuit included the North Fond du Lac Police Department and Wisconsin State Patrol.
