A former teacher at Plymouth High School accused of sexually assaulting a student will be back in court this week for the first time in five months.
43-year-old Marcie Zimmerman will return to Fond du Lac County court on Tuesday (August 11th) for a plea and sentencing hearing as she faces two counts of Sexual Assault of a Student by School Staff, two counts of Sexual Intercourse with a Child 16 or Older while 19 or Older, and one count of Exposing a Child to Harmful Material.
Zimmerman was arrested last year following an investigation that revealed she allegedly sexually assaulted and raped a since-graduated Plymouth student.
While the 43-year-old worked at Plymouth, she is a resident of Fond du Lac County where the alleged crimes are said to have taken place.
Prior to her time in the Plymouth School District, she also served as an agricultural teacher at Reedsville High School.
If a plea deal cannot be reached this week, Zimmerman will stand trial between October 6th and October 8th.
Until then, she remains in custody in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a $250,000 cash bail.
