A Two Rivers woman is in trouble with Wisconsin’s Office of Insurance.
Commissioner Nathan Houdek says 54-year-old Christine Ringmeier had an application for a Wisconsin insurance intermediary license denied based on allegations of having a criminal conviction, failing to report criminal charges, and using fraudulent or dishonest practices in a place of business.
Ringmeier was convicted of writing more than three dozen unauthorized checks to herself to pay for personal and medical bills from an unknown Manitowoc County business in 2021.
She was sentenced to probation and had to pay everything back.
Wisconsin’s Commissioner of Insurance Office publishes administrative actions taken against companies and people that have violated Wisconsin’s insurance statutes or regulations.
Actions were also taken against four people from Appleton and one from Green Bay.
