Organizations in Sheboygan are looking to ensure students are ready to head back to school.
The Optimist Club, in partnership with the Sheboygan Community Recreation Department, will be holding its annual Back to School Basics supply giveaway on Saturday (August 8th) from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
The School supply giveaway will be held at Longfellow Elementary School, located at 819 Kentucky Avenue.
This annual event aims to provide parents in need with the school supplies their children need to get off to a productive, prepared start to the academic year.
Children do not need to be present to receive school supplies; however, parents are only allowed to collect items for children in their immediate household.
