The inaugural season for the Manitowoc White Caps has come to an end.
The Caps hosted the Ashwaubenon Lookouts last night on Bruce Steinbecker Field for a tournament play-in game, where they fell 7-0.
The Lookouts struck first in the 2nd inning, before tallying 3 runs in both the 4th and 6th innings to advance into the Shoreland League tournament.
The Caps thanked everyone for supporting them this year, including their list of sponsors, saying “Your generosity and community spirit mean so much to the Manitowoc White Caps.”
The Shoreland League tournament will begin in earnest on Monday, when the Casco A’s travel to Ashwaubenon to battle the Lookouts, and the Kewaunee Chiefs invade Highridge Field to take on the Denmark Devilbears.
