A new disc golf course in Calumet County will open this weekend.
A grand opening for the course at the Ariens Nordic Center is planned for Saturday (August 8th) and will welcome players of all skill levels to experience one of Wisconsin’s newest disc golf destinations.
During the celebration, disc golf will be free to play throughout the day from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
You are asked to reserve a tee time because of the expected demand, which can be found on the UDisc app.
The Ariens Nordic Center will also have an opening day mini flex tournament with a $10 optional buy-in from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be food and raffle prizes by the Lakeshore Ladies Disc Golf Corporation.
Completion of the new disc golf course will also prepare the area to host the 2028 U.S. Women’s Disc Golf Championships, which came to the lakeshore last year.
For the rest of the 2026 disc golf season, the Ariens Disc Golf Center will be open Fridays from noon to sunset and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to sunset.
Hours will be added for Tuesdays and Thursdays in the future, along with beginner nights, under the light nights, and 2027 league play.
