A building home to a former Wendy’s looks to have been sold.
Records from Manitowoc County’s Register of Deeds show a transfer tax of over $3 million, but after dividing the recording fee, the price the building was sold for was around $1.125 million.
The company that sold the building was called JB Properties, and the company that purchased the building is under the name 4441 Calumet LLC.
What the building will become is not known at this time.
Wendy’s shut down without warning in March this year after its corporate office announced it would close between 300 and 600 locations throughout the first half of 2026 to eliminate underperforming or outdated sites.
