A Sturgeon Bay woman has died after being struck by a car.
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department was called to the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Michigan Street at 11:00 Monday morning.
There, they found an unresponsive 75-year-old woman lying in the south intersection who had been hit by a vehicle.
The woman was transported to the Door County Medical Center, where she later died from her injuries.
The 73-year-old female driver, also from Sturgeon Bay, told police that she was waiting for a group of people who were crossing a different portion of the intersection and didn’t see the victim as she turned left from 3rd Avenue to Michigan Street.
It is not clear if she is facing any charges.
