The City of Sheboygan is still preparing for a weekend of fun following the cancellation of a relatively new summer tradition.
The City and local businesses had multiple days of events planned to take place this weekend in conjunction with the Midwest Challenge Powerboat Races, which were cancelled by the International Hot Rod Association for unforeseen staffing and operational issues.
However, many of these events are still on, and community members are encouraged to attend even if the boat races were called off.
This includes the Cruise and Brews Block Party, which is happening on Friday (August 7th) at City Green in Downtown Sheboygan.
The event will feature a car show with over 100 cars slated to participate, live music, more than 20 food trucks, and several boat racing teams to show their support for the community’s effort to bring the races back.
Then, on Saturday (August 8th) and Sunday (August 9th) at King Park, 3 Sheeps will present Beach, Bites, and Brews, formerly called Boats, Bites, and Brews.
This two-day celebration will begin at 11:00 a.m. each day and include live music, a vendor market, and family-friendly experiences.
