Patricia “Patti” A. Kowalski, age 73, of Manitowoc, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at her residence.
Patti was born on November 7, 1952 in Manitowoc, to the late Gordon Dempsey and Mary Theresa (Lorrigan) Mathes. She graduated from Roncalli High School. On August 21, 1996 she married Jerald “Butch” Kowalski. Patti was quick witted and always had a joke to share. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and going for relaxing Sunday drives along the lakeshore with Butch.
Patti is survived by her husband: Jerald “Butch” Kowalski; children: Tessa (Josh) Meissner, Brianna (Chris) DeLeske, and Kelly Kubsch; step-children: Rick Kowalski, Ryan (Stacy) Kowalski, Kelly (Tom) Decker, and Kurt Kowalski; grandchildren: David Decker, Grace Decker, Hailey (Canary) Minor, Gabe Goodell, Ava Kowalski, Meredith Meissner, and Burke Meissner; great-grandchildren: Zaydah, Grayson, Amora, and Quincey; and brother-in-law: Jan (Kathy) Kowalski. She is preceded in death by her dad: Gordon Mathes and her mom and stepdad: Mary and Melvin Kelley.
A Memorial service to celebrate Patti’s life will be held on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Francis of Assisi on Grand. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, August 10, 2026 at 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am. Patti will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
