A Manitowoc man has been arrested after allegedly stealing and using another person’s credit card.
37-year-old Clinton McCarey was given a $100 cash bail yesterday (August 3rd) by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch.
McCarey has been charged with Theft of Credit Card, Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card, and Felony Bail Jumping.
The 37-year-old has been accused by the victim of stealing her credit card and making numerous personal purchases with it.
During the hearing yesterday, it was also revealed that security camera footage from the respective stores showed McCarey using the credit card, along with bank statements that corroborated the victim’s claims.
However, no details regarding how much money was allegedly spent on the credit card were revealed.
McCarey will now return to court in Manitowoc County next Monday (August 10th) for his initial appearance in Branch 3.
