Senator Andre Jacque has officially announced his endorsement for a former staffer looking to take over his seat.
Nic Cravillion has been working for Sen. Jacque as his District Director for over five years, a job which Sen. Jacque says leaves him with “the best training for the battles that lie ahead.”
This endorsement did come with some long, hard thoughts by the longtime state legislator, as Sen. Jacque noted that he also knows Barb Bittner very well.
He explained that this endorsement should not be perceived as a “slight to my friend Barb Bittner, or dishearten her or those supporting her. Barb is a genuine friend, committed campaigner for the conservative cause, successful businesswoman, and truly a good person with a wonderful family.”
In fact, Sen. Jacque also said, “I would feel comfortable with either (Nic or Barb) representing me in the State Senate.”
Sen. Jacque announced earlier this year that he would not be running for another term in office, ending a near 16-year career in Madison.
