Hot air balloons will return to Manitowoc’s downtown riverfront later this month.
The Chamber of Manitowoc County’s annual Lakeshore Balloon Glow gets underway next Friday (August 14th) from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in both the Manitowoc Public Library’s parking lot and in the parking lot of 720 Quay Street.
Other entertainment includes the Webfooters Water Ski Show and other activities for the kids.
They include bounce houses, face painting, balloon animals, Lakeshore FIRST Robotics, and more. Lakeshore Balloon Glow attendees will also see 20 food trucks and corn on the cob served by the Manitowoc Lion’s Club.
The night concludes with a fireworks show at 8:30 p.m.
To help limit traffic downtown, a free shuttle will again be provided between 4:45 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. from three remote parking areas including Lincoln High School’s JFK Fieldhouse, Roncalli High School, and Faith Church.
Shuttles leave every half an hour, with the last shuttle leaving at 9:00 p.m.
