The Green Bay Blizzard are one win away from a conference championship and a spot in the league championship matchup.
The Blizzard hosted the Orlando Pirates at the Resch Center on Sunday, and walked out of the high-scoring matchup with a 73-59 victory.
Blizzard Kicker Andrew Mevis played a key role in the win, as he recorded two duces, a kick off through the narrow uprights, which counts for two points.
QB Liam Thompson threw for 171 yards and 7 touchdowns, while four Blizzard running backs combined for 89 yards and three more scores in the win.
The Blizzard improve to 14-3 with the win, and will host the 12-5 Tulsa Oilers at the Resch Center this Sunday (August 9th) with the Eastern Conference Championship on the line.
