One of the men charged with transporting over 25 pounds of methamphetamine into Manitowoc County has been convicted.
During a court hearing last week, 29-year-old Corven M. Jones was found guilty due to a no-contest plea on a charge of manufacturing and delivering an amphetamine.
Judge Mark Rohrer ordered a presentence investigation report to be made before Jones is sentenced on September 25th.
Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre is recommending that the 29-year-old be sentenced to five years in prison.
Jones, Karonn Hamilton, and Andrea Allen were all arrested in December last year after the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit determined they were traveling to the City of Manitowoc to deliver a large amount of methamphetamine.
When all three were arrested, officers found the meth in their vehicle.
Allen and Hamilton’s case is now being prosecuted in federal court.
