The Wisconsin Appeals Court is upholding Act 10, a law that effectively ended collective bargaining rights for most public employees.
The judges ruled two to one to overturn a Dane County judge’s ruling that Act 10 was unconstitutional.
The majority ruling argued that concerns raised in this lawsuit have been answered in previous cases.
However, the one dissenting judge said it brought new issues to light, saying the law violates the equal protection guarantee in Wisconsin’s constitution.
The case is now likely headed to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
