One man is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Adams County.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call Monday evening from a person reporting that their neighbor was waving a gun toward them and their family.
A deputy arrived on the scene and told the man to drop the gun, alongside a second officer, and the suspect refused.
The man went into his house, came out, walked out to the roadway, and turned toward the deputy, leading to a gunshot being fired and hitting the suspect.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, and the deputy who fired the shot has been placed on administrative assignment.
