A recent donation drive in Sheboygan has been deemed a major success.
The Warming Center of Sheboygan County has said that it is no longer in need of clothing donations after an outpouring of support from the community.
A public call for clothing donations was put out two weeks ago as the Warming Center began going through clean clothes at an increased rate following the introduction of its permanent shower trailer earlier this month.
With that call for donations, the Warming Center also added, “A clean outfit after a shower is about so much more than clothing—it restores dignity, boosts confidence, and reminds our guests that our community cares.”
Thanks to the continued support from those throughout the Sheboygan community, those utilizing the shower trailer are able to leave with fresh clothes, clean socks, and a hope for a better day.
Grateful for the donations, the Warming Center closed by saying, “Thank you for always showing up, supporting our guests, and helping us care for our neighbors. We couldn’t do this without you!”
