Two individuals have been arrested on suspicion of delivering fentanyl.
During their bail hearings yesterday (July 23rd), 47-year-old Jason A. Beck received a $10,000 cash bail while 35-year-old Emily A. Kasten was given a $5,000 cash bail.
Both individuals have been charged with Delivering Fentanyl and various Bail Jumping charges linked to an incident which occurred on June 12th.
This comes as both Kasten and Beck have different open drug cases in Manitowoc County involving narcotic drugs, methamphetamine, and keeping a drug trafficking place.
In Kasten’s case, she signed a signature bond for a bail jumping charge on June 10th, just two days prior to this new incident where authorities found her and Beck in possession of fentanyl.
A point that Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch considered “striking” that she almost immediately disregarded that signature bond and its terms.
Additional terms of their bail include a strict no contact order with one another, no possession of controlled substances, and maintaining absolute sobriety.
Beck and Kasten will return to court on Monday (July 27th) for their initial appearances.
