Utility work in Sheboygan will affect traffic next week.
The Sheboygan Department of Public Works has announced that the City’s Water Utility will be replacing a water main valve at the intersection of Eisner Avenue and North 20th Street on Tuesday (July 28th) and Wednesday (July 29th), and work will commence at 8:00 a.m. each day.
While work is completed, eastbound traffic on Eisner will be closed at North 21st Street, while westbound traffic will remain open but will be reduced to a single lane.
The eastbound detour will take motorists south on 21st, east on North Avenue, north on 15th Street, and back to Eisner Avenue.
The City states that this work is necessary to maintain the reliability of its water distribution system. During the project, local access to businesses and residences will be maintained.
Sheboygan Water Utility added, “The Sheboygan Water Utility understands the inconvenience experienced during street maintenance activities and appreciates everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work to complete this project.”
