A woman from Kaukauna charged after attacking police is still without a lawyer.
43-year-old Lori L. White was present for her initial appearance in Manitowoc County court yesterday (July 20th). At that hearing, it was revealed that White is still awaiting legal counsel to be appointed to her through the Public Defender’s Office, and the court granted a continuance in the case, allowing time for her to get a lawyer.
This comes as the 43-year-old faces charges of Discharging Bodily Fluids at an Officer, Battery to an Officer, OWI with Passengers Under 16 in the Vehicle, Resisting or Obstructing, and Disorderly Conduct linked to an incident which took place in Manitowoc County on July 10th.
White was pulled over by authorities, and when told she would be arrested, she allegedly became combative.
This includes accusations of biting a police officer before spitting on a Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputy in front of her three minor children, who were in the vehicle at the time of the altercation.
White will return to court on September 14th for her adjourned initial appearance.
Until then, she is free on a $500 cash bail, which was posted last week.
