Authorities are investigating the death of a woman at a Madison hotel.
The fire department was called to the hotel off John Q. Hammonds Drive on Saturday when the woman was found by the pool.
First responders tried to save her life, but she was pronounced dead at the scene, although nothing suspicious was found in the area.
Officials noted there was a dog staying with her at the hotel, but it has since been taken to the Dane County Humane Society.
