Manitowoc Police have not called as many times this year compared to this time last year.
In their monthly report, the police department has reported 13,189 total calls for service in 2026.
By this time last year, that number was 13,748. Calls for service in June 2026 were also down compared to last year.
Last month, there were 2,315 calls for service compared to 2,794 in 2025.
Adult criminal charges were about the same year-to-date.
There were 135 adults charged by Manitowoc Police in June 2026 compared to 136 in June 2025.
One trend that continues to climb is the number of juvenile charges.
For a fourth month in a row, there were more juveniles charged this year compared to last.
It was 9 last month compared to 7 in June 2025. Total numbers show that 74 juveniles have been charged this year, compared to only 38 by this time last year.
Accidents have been down year-to-date.
There were 68 reported to the Manitowoc Police in June 2026.
That’s down from 79 in June 2025.
There have been 490 in 2026 compared to 505 by this time in 2025.
