An annual celebration in Sheboygan’s Hmong community is set for this weekend.
The 2026 Hmong Sheboygan Summer Festival will be held on Saturday and Sunday at Kiwanis Park, running from 8:00 a.m. to approximately 6:00 p.m. each day.
As is tradition, the Hmong Summer celebration will include sports tournaments such as men’s and women’s flag football and volleyball, pickleball, and men’s basketball.
However, this year, the men’s soccer tournament has been canceled due to low participation numbers.
All sports tournaments, as well as the annual dance competition, will have substantial cash prizes up for grabs for the winners and fellow top-three finishers.
Along with the tournaments, attendees will be able to enjoy a large variety of food, fresh fruit, merchandise, and business vendors as well.
Advance registration for all sports and dance competitions will cost $50, and walk-in registrations will cost $100.
Admission to the Summer Festival will cost $5 per person, while seniors and children three years or younger get in free.
More information on the event can be found online by visiting the Hmong Mutual Assistance Association of Sheboygan Facebook page.
