The police chief in Darlington is losing his badge.
The Darlington Police Committee decided this week to dismiss Chief Szvon Conway after he was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence last month in Monroe.
Officers there said Conway crashed his vehicle into a retention wall and then left the scene.
He was later charged with OWI, hit-and-run, and other counts.
Conway is scheduled to be in court on September 14th.
