A two-vehicle crash in Sturgeon Bay claimed the life of a Canadian national.
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department was called to the area of Highway 42/57 between Michigan and Alabama Streets just after 1:30 Tuesday afternoon on a report of a crash.
It was determined that an 80-year-old man from British Columbia, Canada, had been driving north when he crossed over the center line and struck a southbound vehicle being driven by a 33-year-old Sturgeon Bay woman.
Both drivers were taken to Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay, where the Canadian man succumbed to his injuries. The woman has since been released from the hospital.
The names of the individuals involved are being withheld pending notification of their families.
The Sturgeon Bay Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Door County Sheriff’s Office and Door County Emergency Services.
